If so, you have an eternal mindset. That's great, but there are many beliefs about God, and endless paths people think will lead to heaven.
The Bible teaches that there is only one way to heaven. Jesus spoke about this a lot. He said in John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
It's clear. Jesus didn't say he is one of the ways to eternal life. He said he is the only way..
How could a perfect God do that?
God is perfectly holy. He's also perfectly just. That means every right and wrong must be accounted for.
The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "And ‘the wages of sin are death..." So, if we all have sinned, how can anyone enter heaven without being perfectly righteous? It's impossible!
Fortunately, God is also perfect in compassion. That's why he sent Jesus to pay the penalty for us. Romans 6:23 above, ends by saying, "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Perfect, fair, AND loving.
Don't all religions lead to God?
While this idea is popular, it's not what Jesus said. He said, “Unless you believe that 'I am' (God), you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24) and “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) You cannot believe Jesus' claim and also accept other paths to heaven.
It's not logical. If all religions were true and all paths led to God, they would have to agree on who God is, what happens after death, and how salvation is obtained. But they don’t. The truth is by definition exclusive.
Sincerity isn't the standard for entering heaven.
Do you now see that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
A person can sincerely believe something that is false. Sincerity does not create reality. A doctor can sincerely believe that sugar cures cancer—but if you followed that sincere advice, you would die.
Every religion except the gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that salvation is earned through effort, rituals, or moral behavior. Christianity teaches that salvation is the gift of grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).
If sincerity or good works were enough, Jesus’ sacrifice wouldn't have been necessary. (Galatians 2:21)
Do you now see that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
Do you now see that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
Do you now see that Jesus is the only way to heaven?
If you said yes, then you're ready to say this prayer.
"Jesus, Thank you for showing me that you are the only way to heaven. I admit I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I put my trust in You, and only you, for my salvation. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me eternal life. Amen."
Rest assured, you are saved. John 5:24 says, "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment but has passed from death to life."
